As expected, the newly-empowered Democrats are planning to use their majority status to accomplish the radical policy changes Republicans have been able to defeat in recent years. From making possession of commonly-held firearms a felony, to numerous LGBT priorities, to radical changes in voting, to policy changes which will expose vulnerable women and babies to danger, to severe limitation of parental rights, it appears to be as bad as we predicted. I am continuing to meet with local folks and talk with legislators and other people around the Commonwealth to see what we can do to fix what matters to you in your everyday life: Transportation funding, lower tolls, government reform, education opportunities, affordable broadband access, improvements to social services, and more.
A Wave of Second Amendment Sanctuary Resolutions:
Our nation's Declaration of Independence states that all people are "....endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men...." All across the Commonwealth, citizens are demanding that their local governments pass "2nd Amendment Sanctuary Resolutions" to protect their rights to life and liberty against the Democrats' efforts. More information is available on VCDL's website here, and please subscribe to their emails for updates. Over 700 patriots showed up in Shenandoah County last night. So far, Loudoun County does not seem willing to pass such a resolution. There are Facebook groups with more information on these efforts in Clarke County, and throughout the Shenandoah Valley. Clarke and Frederick Counties have efforts underway which I encourage you to support by contacting supervisors and attending the upcoming meetings:
