Medicaid is an example of a failed big-government program that grows and grows and just won’t go away. This is exactly the kind of thing that I pledged to fight when I took office. Together with other conservatives in the House, I did what I promised and stood up to Governor McAuliffe, and the people of Virginia won.

The Wall Street Journal recently ran an article by Fred Barnes, highlighting the strong efforts of the Republican-controlled House on fighting ObamaCare's Medicaid expansion in Virginia. It’s worth taking a look at! He said, "McAuliffe’s threat to foist more Medicaid, or something like it, on Virginia unilaterally has backfired." - Wall Street Journal

As an alternative to Medicaid expansion, I’m going to be promoting great alternatives - like centers that offer cost-effective (and in some cases free) medical care to needy families, such as the Free Medical Clinic of Northern Shenandoah Valley in Winchester, and the Loudoun Free Clinic and HealthWorks of Northern Virginia in Leesburg.
