Obamacare Medicaid for Virginia?... “Not on Our Watch!”

Dear Friends,

I am excited to be serving as your Delegate. After experiencing my first regular session, I’m ready to get back home to my family and back to work at my contracting business at home in Hamilton. However, as you probably know, the legislature has not yet passed a budget. Governor McAuliffe campaigned on two contradicting promises, depending on what he felt like saying at a given moment. Here is one promise: He promised not to hold up the budget for Medicaid expansion and here is another: He promised not to sign a budget without a Medicaid expansion.

This issue will have an enormous impact on Virginia for generations to come, and the battle is happening NOW. Governor McAuliffe has a campaign debt to pay to President Obama, Bill and Hillary, and a lot of powerful people who want to fast track Virginia into a lock-step march with Washington, DC. To that I say, “Not on our watch!”

I am back down in Richmond this week where I will stand with the House Majority, opposing the Obamacare Medicaid expansion. I am deeply grateful for your prayers, your suggestions, and your kind words of support while I worked in Richmond this past session. I intend to support passage of a budget that boosts our economy and protects jobs, NOT a budget that commits future generations to a massive underfunded mandate.

I would not be here without your generous support. Thank you… I NEED YOUR HELP AGAIN.

Governor McAuliffe and the special interests aligned with an expansion of Medicaid are working around the clock pushing their pro-Obamacare agenda on the people of Virginia. My team and I are dedicated to keeping you armed with the truth; not just about the budget, but also about many other important issues.

I am committed to protecting LIFE, LIBERTY, and PROPERTY. On a practical level that means fighting for transportation reform, reducing taxes, school choice, and protecting our rights to life and to keep and bear arms.

We’re sending tens of thousands of letters and alerting the citizens and elected leaders in our district about what our government is doing. It is clear that those who wish to see Virginia follow the ways of Washington, DC aren’t resting - so neither can those who want to protect Virginia.

Please chip in so we can keep fighting the good fight. $5, $10, or $25 can go a long way by helping us keep putting out the message in print and online that businesslike policies will keep Virginia on the right track.

Also, I encourage you and your friends to sign the PASS A CLEAN BUDGET TERRY petition, if you haven’t already, urging Governor McAuliffe to, (you guessed it) sign a clean budget.
