Hamilton, VA – Delegate Dave LaRock issued the following statement following his re-election to a third term in the Virginia House of Delegates.

“I offered to continue serving the people of the 33rd District, and I am very pleased the voters have decided to keep me on the job.

This was no ordinary election. Our opponents, like many previous extreme, liberal candidates, used the same tired, deceptive tactics, trying to divide Virginians by race, religion, income, and other labels, but this year they were powered by a landslide of money and volunteers from across the nation. Their goal was to reject the traditional values that make our Commonwealth so extraordinary and to vent their hatred for President Trump. Unfortunately, they appear to have been successful to a large extent.

In contrast, my team and I do our very best to serve the day-to-day needs of our local community: improving roads, creating better education opportunities, helping to keep people employed at good-paying jobs, and much more. We have seen great success and I know there is much more to be done. I will continue working to get Virginia’s economy going, reform delivery of government services, and improve opportunities for all Virginians. This will be much more difficult with Republican losses in the House of Delegates and governor race.

I fully intend to keep delivering solid, tangible results, always having time to protect the vulnerable and needy, and to speak boldly on controversial issues while respecting differing views. I’ve worked in a bipartisan manner to achieve results, and will continue to do so.

These are simply not times for faint-hearted leadership. I rely on the same faith in Christ and Christian values that are the foundation of our great nation. These will never fail.

I thank my dedicated wife, Joanne, my family and hard-working campaign team, my exceptional assistant, Daniel Davies, and give all the glory for this victory to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Thank you to the people of the 33rd District for the extraordinary honor of being your Delegate. I look forward to continuing to serve you, and deliver solid results for you.”
